Benefits of Being Outside

"Live in the sunshine, swim in the sea, drink the wild air." -Ralph Waldo Emerson

Studies show that being outdoors in nature is relaxing as it reduces our stress, cortisol levels, muscle tension, and heart rates.
For many, nature tends to soothe their soul while adding a sense of enlightenment, spirituality, and contentment. Mother nature may be the ultimate key to accessing the things we thought impossible. If stress is the one thing in the way of achieving your goals, then being outside may help to reduce those stress levels, and get you moving towards your goals.
In a 2019 case study, participants were asked to spend more time outside and researchers found that the majority experienced better breathing, improved sleep, reduced depression, more exercise motivation, mental restoration, boosted immune function, and improved emotional well-being.
What does your outdoor schedule look like? Are you getting outside enough?
Let's motivate each other to get out there and get moving!
